My paintings seek to give flesh to what in the soul cannot be touched. They are bodies born from aftermath and dystopia: dense, wounded, restless. Bodies that part and meet again, collide, open and close. They may evoke German Expressionism, yet seen through a more contemporary gaze.
There is something unusual in being a Spanish woman painting semi-figurative, abstract expressionism. My canvases are large, and their colours remain fiercely alive.
